* Dancheong, traditional multicolored paintwork on wooden buildings such as temples or palaces, were popular decoration patterns, but also used as anticorrosive treatment.

* Gyeonggi-12-Jap-Ga

Folk music developed in the late Joseon dynasty around the 19th century, Gyeonggi-12-Jap-Ga was frequently sung by the working class in Gyeonggi province. It features folksy and straightforward expressions.

* Daegeum, Junggeum, and Sogeum refer to Korean traditional wind instruments made of bamboo. These three types of ‘Sam-Juk’ differ in size.

* Gagok sung by men

Gagok is a traditional music genre of Joseon Dynasty that puts a Korean poem ‘sijo’ to a melody. It is usually played by the upper class of the Joseon dynasty.

* Jihwa refers to paper flowers which have been used for royal banquets and religious ceremonies or sometimes for wishing family’s prosperity. Jihwa are made with white paper, or penta-color paper.

* Hwi-Mo-Ri-Jap-Ga

This is music genre popular in the late Chosun dynasty and early 20th Century. Long lyrics in narration format are sung with technical format are sung with technical musical diction. This genre is differentiated from folk music.
